About the Expert: Ms Kennedy is a bold and dynamic instructor who has inspired thousands of students and hundreds of audiences to believe in themselves and their ability to protect themselves. Teaching self-defense full-time since 1986, author of dozens of articles, Kennedy holds nationally recognized certifications in Police Defensive Tactics and Women’s Self Defense. Ms. Kennedy founded the American Women's Self Defense Association in 1989 to empower other trainers to make self defense accessible to women across America.
